Getting back on the horse.
It all started with Carrabbas. The hubby got a gift certificate for the holidays so he took the whole family out for dinner, which was a really nice treat. I didn’t count my points that night and well, it all went downhill from there. 2.5 pounds gained, lesson learned. I’m back on the horse.
I will count my points this week.

Counting points…must mean you’re on Weight Watchers! That is, by far, the best way to lose weight! I did research on the organization in grad school. Healthiest. Most effective. Hands down!
Loved your last comment on The Style Geek! Thanks for reading!
The most important thing is not to beat yourself up!! It takes crazy discipline to lose weight, especially this time of year, so you can’t expect to be perfect every week. Especially when it involves a FREE family night out:)
Not many people know this, but I was overweight when I was a kid, and lost 20 pounds when I was 14. When you eat badly one day, it’s easy the next day to say, well, I’ve already ruined my diet for this week so I might as well have these 4 pieces of pizza, or whatever! It helped me to think of it as an overall change-there will be some ups and downs, but overall in the end, you come out for the better.
Good luck getting back on the horse!
No way. You look like you’ve *never* been overweight. Good lesson, though. I’m working on the not-beating-myself-up stuff. And trying hard not to fall into old ways.
I didn’t know you were using weight watchers. I’d love for you to do a post on it sometime. I’d be interested to see what you think of the program, and whether or not you feel it’s working for you. I’ve thought about using it because I’ve heard they have a breastfeeding plan too, but I’ve never been good with diets.
I’m doing the cheaters version of Weight Watchers. I work with a WW Lifetimer, so he’s given me the program items since I’m trying to make a change. I like it so far because it’s ultimately not a diet. It gives me guidance on how many calories I’m consuming, but how I consume those calories is up to me. I also really like the flexibility.
