Even after doing some Google searches and finding some Food Inc rebuttals on the big companies websites, I found it hard to believe that what they say is true. It's too little too late, ya know?Supporting local farmers feels good, tastes good, and makes my body feel better. It's a win-win. I don't know that I'll go back to conventional eating. We're taking baby steps right now with our diets, but I already feel some improvements.

I have no trust for the food industry now. We've been eating pasture beef for a little over a year now (ever since we watched KING CORN) and I feel physically better after a meal than after eating grocery store meat. The next step is veggies. It's hard to trust the food industry, isn't it? I felt betrayed when I realized that milk/diary products were the cause of my migraines.

We JUST watched this a few days ago and I was truly appalled at what I saw. We've tried a few and he's really into them. I think it's all about getting the veggies cooked right.

I didn’t think my hubby would enjoy the vegetarian meals either. I found also that I can save money/ eat more healthily by making more vegetarian meals. At first I thought they wouldn't be as tasty, but they're really great and I picked up some soya protein mince replacement VERY cheap.

That’s great that it didn’t cost you as much as you expected. I just did a search in my local area and found a few more CSAs than were there just a few years ago. I'll be checking these out this weekend. Might be too late in the season to sign up to get boxes now, but definitely worth doing homework on for next spring.

That’s a great idea! (community sponsored agriculture)a little googling and you should be able to find one in your area. there's a few that i know of in my city of chicago!http://www.localharvest.org/csa/my roommate and i used to get a huge box of veggies every two weeks for $20. we'd look up unknown veggies in my trusty "how to cook everything" cookbook, and try all sorts of new things.with a CSA, you don't get to choose which veggies you get, but it makes you try new things, and great stuff.

a way to eat even cheaper than farmers’ markets for veggies is to get a veggie share with a CSA.
